Brackets finish at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo ProRodeo Tournament
FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 3, 2026) – The final bracket of preliminary competition was completed at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s (FWSSR) ProRodeo Tournament on Tuesday night in Dickies Arena.
This was the final opportunity for competitors to work their way into the Wild Card or Semi-Finals rounds to continue to have an opportunity to win a coveted title here. Reigning and two-time world champion barrel racer Kassie Mowry was one of those competitors.
Mowry has earned more prize money at every level of barrel racing than any other competitor. However, a FWSSR title has eluded the Dublin, Texas, resident. She has been riding her great horse Force The Goodbye that fans know as Jarvis. While she and Jarvis didn’t have identical runs here, their times were nearly identical. They stopped the clock at 16.16 seconds Monday and then at 16.19 on Tuesday to win both rounds of Bracket 7.
She advances as the number one barrel racer in this bracket with $5,000 already added to her season earnings. She is very strategic in the rodeos she goes to and a big win here would help her strategy in trying to qualify for her seventh Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR).
Creek Young from Rogersville, Missouri had four straight bull riding qualifications to rodeo’s championships from 2021 – 2024. However, an injury kept him from competing in Las Vegas at the NFR in 2024. After having surgery and recovering from a broken femur, he came back in 2025 and finished 45th, good enough to qualify for major rodeos like the one here.
In 2026 he is taking advantage of every opportunity. On Monday, he scored 87 points on Rafter G Rodeo’s bull named Peaky Blinders. He was one of two riders that were successful in round one. He came back on Tuesday night and rode another Rafter G bull named Triton for 89 points where he was one of three men to earn a score.
Now the talented athlete has $7,000 in FWSSR earnings and is advancing to the Semi-Finals. Should he go on to win the championship, it would be one of the biggest wins in his career.
Wednesday night’s Wild Card rodeo will be the last chance effort for competitors to try to be among the top two and advance to the Semi-Finals rounds on Thursday and Friday. Contestants will be laying it all on the line, hoping they have a reason to stay in town through Saturday’s Championship Finals.
The Wild Card round begins at 7:30 p.m. in Dickies Arena.
