• 1st Place Each Category - $750
• 2nd Place Each Category - $500
• 3rd Place Each Category - $250
• Grand Champion Team - $1,500
• Reserve Grand Champion Team - $1,000
• 3rd Overall Team - $500

• Online exam with top scores advancing to in-person presentation.
• $18,000 in scholarships available

• Your entry will be verified through HSBBQ to ensure you are a member of team participating in our regional competition.

• 50-Question Online Exam
• Eligible participants will be allowed ONE OPPORTUNITY to take the online exam and must participate in the FWSSR Regional HSBBQ Competition
• Top 10 Scoring Contestants Advance to Finalist Presentations
• Participants are encouraged to be neatly dressed for finalist oral presentations, but due to facility limitations, presentable cooking attire is acceptable.

• Study materials released on or before Monday, October 12, 2026.
• Online Testing: Monday, October 26, 2026 - Friday, October 30, 2026. The exam will be an online proctored exam. The last opportunity to begin the exam is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026.
• Finalists will be notified via email by Monday, November 2, 2026.
• Friday, November 6, 2026 - Finalist oral presentation to judges panel 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (before cooks meeting)
