From hands-on challenges to scholarship opportunities, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo offers a wide variety of competitions celebrating skill, creativity, and excellence in agriculture, the arts, and beyond.

Beef Challenge Beef Challenge A scholarship competition open to Jr. Beef Heifer exhibitors that are currently enrolled in their Senior year of high school and have shown in the Fort Worth Stock Show Junior Breeding Beef Heifer Show a minimum of two years, including their senior year. Calf Scramble Calf Scramble During 23 rodeo performances, 230 youth will catch calves and be awarded certificates valued at $500. Certificate proceeds are used to help purchase a beef or dairy heifer that participants care for and prepare for exhibition at the Stock Show. Shooting Sports Shooting Sports The FWSSR Jr. Shooting Sports competition is open to Texas 4-H & FFA members (Grades 6–12) and has $25,000 in awards in addition to $20,000 in scholarships.
