Come watch the FWSSR Youth Escaramuza and Charro Cala competition Saturday, January 31st at 9:00 a.m. in the legendary Will Rogers Coliseum. Each member of the champion Youth Escaramuza will receive a $2,000 scholarship. The champion in the youth Charro Cala will receive a $3,000 scholarship, while second place will receive a $2,000 scholarship and third place will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The FWSSR is proud to host the first ever Charro Cala Showdown! This event will feature our past 3 clinicians and the best caladores from Mexico competing against each other. Following each run, the competitors will provide comments on their own run. This event is free to the public with Stock Show Grounds Admission. The sign up below is encouraged to stay up to date on all things related!

Take in the beauty of the FWSSR Texas Invitational Escaramuza & Charro Cala competition Sunday, February 1st at 10:00 a.m. in the Will Rogers Coliseum. Escaramuza and Charro Cala history dates to the Mexican Revolution of 1910 and are part of the traditional Charreada or Mexican competitions known for serving as a big competition draw.
