Demonstrating robotics, engineering and problem-solving skills, team members build and program robots for a set of agricultural related challenges such as planting seeds, spraying weeds or moving bagged feed.
Teams are assigned “known” challenges prior to the competition and “unknown” challenges at the contest. Robots must be pre-built and programmed for the known challenges prior to the competition. Time will be allotted at the contest for altering and programming for the unknown challenges.
While guests are not able to view the Challenge in the competition venue, live streaming of the Ag Robotics Challenge will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Museum's Innovation Studios. It will not be available for remote live streaming.
