Brackets heating up at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo
FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 1, 2026) – Bracket 6 of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) ProRodeo Tournament was completed in Dickies Arena on Sunday.
Action started with former bareback riding champion and local favorite Rocker Steiner scoring in 89 points on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Redzilla to win the second round of Bracket 6. Steiner, who lives in Weatherford, won this rodeo in 2023 and 2024. After being shutout in Dickies Arena in 2025, he was motivated to come back here and represent his newest title – world champion bareback rider.
He earned that in December in Las Vegas, Nevada at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR). Rocker is the third generation of his family to be crowned the world’s best. His grandfather, Bobby Steiner, is a world champion bull rider and his father, Sid Steiner, is a world champion steer wrestler.
When Rocker earned the title here, he was the first in his family to win the legendary rodeo and now with his advancement to the Semi-Finals, he is on track to win it a third time.
Aspen Miller from Santa Fe, Texas, won both rounds of Bracket 6 in the breakaway roping. She bested her first-round time of 2.4 seconds on Sunday afternoon with a 1.9 in round 2. Miller has won over $5,000 here so far and is hoping for more success in the Semi-Finals.
Stetson Wright, who is consistently breaking rodeo records, had the high-marked saddle bronc riding score Sunday with a 90-point effort on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s horse named Toma Jo. He will advance to the Semi-Finals and is on pace to win his third saddle bronc riding title here. He also won at Dickies Arena in 2022 and 2023.
The reigning all-around and bull riding world champion also competed in that event in Bracket 6. Wright failed to make the eight-second mark so he will not advance in that event. Instead, he watched Tristen Hutchings from Monteview, Idaho, dominate the Bracket. Hutchings was at the top of the board in both rounds and he and Australia’s Qynn Andersen were the only riders that were successful.
Hutchings was 88.5 points Saturday night. He followed that up with 88 on Carr Pro Rodeo’s Pretty Boy for 88 on Sunday. He has already earned $8,000 here. Anderson has earned $6,800.
The final bracket in the FWSSR ProRodeo Tournament starts on Monday evening at 7:30. That performance will be the highlight of the Stock Show’s Military Appreciation Day. Bracket 7 will be completed on Tuesday when the rest of the slate of Semi-Finals and Wildcard competitors will be decided.
