Kashton Ford Celebrates Birthday with Bracket 6 Round 1 Win

Bracket 6 of the FWSSR PRORODEO Tournament got off to a rousing start on Saturday night when South Dakota’s Kashton Ford had one of the highest scores of the rodeo. Ford, who is from Sturgis, celebrated his 20th birthday with the win. He was 89 points on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s horse named Bill Fick New Scarlett to win round one.

Also winning round one was Cash Robb from Altamont, Utah, who had a 3.5-second run in the steer wrestling. Robb won the National Finals Rodeo championship in 2024 for having the fastest total time on ten runs. He will need another fast run on Sunday afternoon to advance to the Semi-Finals.

Rodeo action in Dickies Arena features one performance Sunday, Feb. 1. The rodeo begins at 2 p.m. and spectators will see the completion of Bracket 6.
