LOT 4 — HEATIN UP SPINNER

1 of 4

2016 GELDING // 15.1 HANDS
CONSIGNED BY LR CATTLE — 936-366-8717

“Sherman” has been on the ranch since the end of his 3-year-old year. Started as a reined cow horse in one of the best cow horse programs in Oklahoma, he made his show pen debut at pre futurities and became an NRCHA money earner. His strong foundation made it easy for him to transition from show horse to ranch horse. Used extensively on the ranch in the unforgiving east Texas and western Louisiana terrain, he has proved to stay
sound and sane for all classes of riders. Sherman has an impressive résumé of duties, from prowling and doctoring feeders, high school rodeo queen contest, NRCHA turn-back mount, ranch rodeos, pick-up horse, and most recently, he’s become quite the switch-ender for jackpot ropings. Sherman is quiet in the box, leaves flat and rates perfectly. This one will be a hard one to replace.

1 of 3

2018 GELDING // 14.3 HANDS
CONSIGNED BY BONDS RANCH, APRIL BONDS — 817-437-0002

"Boots" has been piloted by Sam Norman since he started working for us. Boots spent time at our headquarters and the New Mexico division before he became a key mount in Falls County with Sam. April, Missy and Jo have also ridden Boots when an extra horse was needed. Boots has been used doctoring yearlings, branding calves, moving cattle and general ranch work before he started his show career. Boots has competed in ranch rodeos and is a very nice heel horse, selling paid into Riata Buckle. He is a Ranch Horse Association of America money earner and World Show Cowboy Class semifinalist and has also competed in the AQHA Ranch Versatility and the NRCHA Cowboy Class. However, Boots’ main job and greatest love is as Knox Norman’s main mount and best friend. Boots’ gentleness and ease of mind are displayed with 5-year old Knox. We trust Knox with him on the ground and in the saddle. Boots was the first horse that Knox rode by himself, and he loves to come “work” Boots while Dad is working his horses in the arena. A horse that we trust with our kids is a treasure!
