Weston Jazz is comprised of members from the renowned Southlake Carroll jazz program. The program has been active since the 1970s and successful at competitions nationwide including numerous appearances at the essential Ellington competition in New York.
Graduates of the Carroll Jazz program have gone on to study jazz at major institutions such as the University of Southern California, the University of North Texas, Berklee College of Music, Belmont and many others.
Students from the Carroll Jazz Program perform frequently around the Southlake area in small combos. The Gigs for Donations program allows students the opportunity to build their performance and organizational skills, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with the Southlake community.
