New Home on the Range “Reata at the Rodeo” Expands to Backstage Club for 2008 Stock Show

FORT WORTH, TX – The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and Reata Restaurant are proud to announce the expansion of “Reata at the Rodeo” with the inaugural “Reata at the Backstage” private club. The restaurant’s additional home will be at the long-time favorite Backstage Club. Since 2002, Reata has operated an on-site restaurant during the run of the Rodeo in the Amon G. Carter, Jr. Exhibits Hall. “Reata at the Rodeo” will continue to serve lunch and dinner during the run of the 2008 show.

“Reata has tremendous respect for the legendary history that the Backstage Club brings to the Rodeo each year,” said Mike Micallef, president of Reata Restaurant Group. “We are already beginning plans for thoughtful ways to showcase the Rodeo’s past through well-preserved renovations with additional authentic western décor. Our goal is to pair the tremendous legacy of the Stock Show with the familiar comfort of Reata.”

“Relationships with our concession partners are important as we strive to provide visitors with a variety of quality and affordable food options throughout the grounds,” said Brad Barnes, executive vice president/general manager of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. “We are excited about having Reata take their extraordinary cuisine and service to the Backstage Club.”

Overlooking the coliseum, the Stock Show’s Backstage Club has an extensive history of dining and social gathering for more than 50 years. The popular club has been frequented each year by politicians, movie stars and other celebrities enjoying an experience that can only be found in the Will Rogers Coliseum.
