Stock Show Offers Two Performances of Bull’s Night Out

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - January, 2007 – The original extreme sport – bull riding – is a hallmark event for the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, providing electrifying entertainment to its visitors. “Bull’s Night Out” – now in its sixth year – is the show’s special bull riding extravaganza loaded with excitement for everyone. Two power-packed events are on schedule for Tuesday, January 16 and Wednesday, January 17.

Sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, each performance will feature 40 of the nation’s toughest bull riders going at the rankest bulls the sport has to offer. Each cowboy will get a shot at a first bull, and those with the top 12 scores will attempt a second bull for the nightly championship. “There’s not a sporting event that keeps one on edge like bull riding, and our longtime commitment to bringing the spectator the best bull riding in the world is unequalled,” said W.R. Watt, Jr., president / manager of the Stock Show. “We’re always looking for new ideas to enhance the spectator’s enjoyment, while remaining grounded in what’s made the Stock Show and Rodeo special for 111 years.”

Bull riders and the excitement they’ve brought fans has created some of the most special memories of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. In 1920, Brahman bull riding was first introduced at the Stock Show Rodeo and some of history’s most memorable rides occurred during the Fort Worth event. “Bull’s Night Out” is proudly presented by Long Star Ag. Credit. This important lending institution provides operating credit lines for crop and livestock producers as well as real estate loans for residential, recreational and agricultural purposes.

Now in its 111th year, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo features entertainment events for the entire family, including livestock shows and educational experiences. Scheduled for January 12 – February 4, this year’s other highlights include: the Ranching Heritage Weekend featuring the “Best of the West” Ranch Rodeo, the AQHA Best of the Remuda Sale and the Invitational Ranch Horse Show and Sale; “Best of Mexico Celebración,” showcasing the richness of Mexican vaquero tradition; and 30 exciting performances of the World’s Original Indoor Rodeo.
